The story of Muhammad Azka, Participating in a Competition for the Cost of Going to UPNVJ

Public RelationsUPNVJ - Starting from just looking for additional income for the cost of going to the Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University campus, Muhammad Azka Syafrizal took part in several competitions. Unexpectedly, the UPNVJ Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) student succeeded in becoming champion.
These various achievements succeeded in making Azka one of the recipients of the Karya Mahardika Award at the 72nd UPNVJ Graduation Ceremony at the Jakarta Convention Center on Saturday, April 20 2024. He said that this series of wins was not something that was planned and just happened in life.
Among all Azka's achievements, there are two that are the most memorable. First, in the organizational field, he was trusted to be Deputy Chair of the BEM, Faculty of Economics and Business, UPNVJ, which was an unforgettable moment.
"I captained a large ship in a violent storm, which was the most impressive adventure in my life. I learned many lessons, and the dynamics shaped me into a stronger and wiser person in looking at life," said Azka.
"One thing is certain. No matter how bad it is, the storm will definitely pass," he continued.
Second, continued Azka, was winning 3rd place in XL Future Leaders as a representative of BEM FEB UPNVJ in the incubation program for organizations throughout Indonesia. According to him, this award is not about personal achievement, but also a proud record for BEM FEB UPNVJ.
UPNVJ was said to have succeeded in winning this award at the national level against hundreds of organizations from various large universities in Indonesia.
Of course, in achieving these various achievements, Azka went through many things. Entering college in the midst of a pandemic was difficult, he recalled.
"My parents had to be laid off. Furthermore, my parents also had to separate for one reason or another. Maybe it was like a multidimensional crisis, they had fallen down the stairs too," said Azka.
In the midst of situations like this, Azka admitted that he was reluctant to ask his parents for money to pay for going to campus or just to meet college friends. However, he feels that life must go on, in accordance with the spirit, "no matter how stormy the storm is, the ship must keep going to reach its destination."
Racking her brain to increase her income to get fare to campus, Azka started taking part in various competitions. As God promises, with difficulty, there is ease.
"Winning these various competitions is an ease that God has promised. The rewards are many times over. Not just tuition fees, but these competitions succeeded in bringing me to this point. These competitions succeeded in adding good notes to my life which also make my parents proud," concluded Azka.
