UPNVJ Political Science Undergraduate Student Inaugurated as North Jakarta Reading Ambassador

Public RelationsUPNVJ - Putri Vadilah, a student of the Bachelor of Political Science program at the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta, was inaugurated as the North Jakarta Reading Ambassador on Tuesday, March 5 2024. The inauguration was carried out directly for Putri by the Deputy Mayor of North Jakarta Juani Yusuf.

Juani hopes that with the inauguration of the North Jakarta Literacy Mother and Reading Ambassador, people's understanding of literacy can increase in realizing Jakarta as a global city.

"Congratulations to Putri Vadilah who has just been inaugurated. I believe I can become an inspiring role model in building community resources who like to read," he said at the inauguration ceremony in the Fatahillah Room, 2nd Floor of the North Jakarta Mayor's Office.

Juani said that the inauguration of the Reading Ambassador was clear evidence of the North Jakarta City Government's commitment to fighting for the importance of literacy in society.

"This inauguration is a mandate to be a role model in promoting reading culture and fostering interest in literacy among the younger generation," he explained.

According to Juani, literacy is the key to opening the door to a bright future. Through reading, a person not only gains knowledge, but also opens up insights, expands knowledge, and improves critical and analytical thinking skills.

"Now that information is developing rapidly, literacy skills are becoming increasingly crucial. Through the role of Reading Ambassador and Literacy Mother, I am sure that positive messages about the importance of reading and literacy will spread widely," he said, hoping that Putri could synergize with government officials and schools. , and private parties to carry out their duties as Reading Ambassadors well.

Still at the inauguration event, awards were also given to the winners of the library competition. "Hopefully this competition will not only be a ceremonial activity, but can motivate and improve the quality of school libraries," said Juani.

Meanwhile, Head of the North Jakarta Library and Archives Department, Gunas Mahdianto, said that 1st place in the Library Competition was won by Al-Azhar Islamic High School Kelapa Gading, 2nd place was won by SMA Negeri 18 Jakarta, and 3rd place was won by SMA Negeri 13 Jakarta.

"Congratulations to the winners. Hopefully the achievements achieved can be a motivation to be even better," he said.

Gunas also expressed his appreciation for the confirmation of Putri Vadilah as North Jakarta Reading Ambassador.
