UPNVJ Students Compete for Ideas and Logic at KDMI 2024

Public Relations UPNVJ - Student Affairs Division, the Academic Bureau of Student Affairs Planning and Cooperation (AKPK) held the final of the 2024 Indonesian Student Debate Competition (KDMI) on Thursday (25/04/2024) at the Moot Court Room, Faculty of Law. This activity was attended by 4 teams from the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.

This activity was opened directly by the Acting Head of the Academic, Student Affairs, Planning and Cooperation Bureau (AKPK) Dr. Intan Hesti Indriana, MM. She fully supports this activity which is a learning tool to practice ideas or arguments.

"KDMI competition is not easy and very tight, every debate and argument will be a lesson and provision for when anyone is elected as a representative at regional level," he said.

Dr. Intan Hesti Indriana, MM also expressed her gratitude for the dedication and enthusiasm of the participants.

"Happy KDMI grand final activities and hopefully this activity will be a place to show your achievements and without any negative things," he concluded.

The debate mechanism uses the British Parliamentary system where 1 team consists of 2 people with divisions consisting of Opening Government , Opening Opposition , Closing Government and Closing Opposition. . Meanwhile, the motion used in this debate competition was that the Council believed that the US should withdraw from East Asia and hand over regional hegemony to China. (Examples from East Asian countries are Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea). (edited/*s)

Meanwhile, the best speakers who are also UPNVJ delegates at the national level KDMI are Azaliya Raysa Harnum (2210413116) - Political Science and Adinda Aristias (2210611135) - Law.
