Humas UPNVJ – Tuesday, January 28 2020, In the framework of caring for the Faculty of Health Sciences UPN Veterans Jakarta for maternal and child health, as well as in efforts to develop health, FIKES held the 2020 National Health Seminar. This National Health Seminar has the theme raised, namely " Building superior human resources for advanced Indonesia through Maternal and Child Health efforts . This event was held at the Tanah Airku Building, 5th Floor, Faculty of Health Sciences UPN Veterans Jakarta. This event was attended by 150 seminar participants and 82 of them were Call For Paper participants which would later be presented. The event was attended by several well-known speakers such as Prof. Dr. drg. Sandra Fikawati, MPH who is a professor at the Faculty of Public Health at the University of Indonesia and also Dr. Sitti Himawatty, S.ST, M.Pd who is the Commissioner for Health and Drugs, KPAI. This seminar not only includes talk show activities with speakers, but also includes parallel class activities consisting of 10 rooms presenting various health topics, which is also a form of presentation by Call For Paper participants.
The National Health Seminar was opened by remarks from the head of the committee, namely Rahmah Hida Nurrizka, SKM., MKM who explained the important role of Maternal and Child Health in health development efforts. Apart from that, in his speech, he explained that MCH also has an important role in determining the direction of development transformation and the country's success in becoming a developed country, which of course is determined by a development strategy that prioritizes MCH as one of the development transformations. The head of the committee also explained that this National Health Seminar could be a source of community literacy towards MCH. "Therefore, this National Health Seminar is expected to be a good source of literacy for seminar participants this time so that they can realize maternal and child health as an effort to build superior human resources."
Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm was also present to represent the Chancellor. In his remarks, he stated that at the university level, collaborating with faculties, in organizing seminars, was not only at the international level, but also at the national level. The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs said that this activity included seminar activities which provided opportunities for students to gain scientific experience, and students could become speakers. He said that the University is grateful to the Faculties because almost all Faculties organize seminars, which provide opportunities for students to appear and share ideas. The Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs also said that health promotion activities are important and are the task of the Faculty of Health Sciences. "For Fikes, promotional activities are usually important activities, promoting health. I see that our society's literacy is about many things including about information health, in a real sense about physical health, it needs a lot of literacy, and there will be more physical work assignments there."
Dean of FIKES UPN Veteran Jakarta, DR. drg. Wahyu Sulistiadi, MARS also gave a speech. In his remarks, the Dean explained that this activity is a routine activity that is held every year, and the previous activity was held in November which was an international activity, and the current seminar is a national seminar. He revealed, later in 2020 in October, FIKES will hold an international seminar. In his remarks, he also said that without health, the country will not progress, and health is so important for all of us, especially maternal and child health, which is also the strength of a country. He emphasized that this activity became a student activity before they graduated, which made them speakers, even though it was only within the scope of lecturers at UPN Veteran Jakarta. Closing his remarks, the Dean expressed his hope that the output of this seminar could be published, and also that this activity would make UPN Veterans Jakarta feel the benefits of having superior human resources.
The last remarks were from the Head of Public Health Study Program, namely Putri Permata Sari, SKM., MKM, who gave a speech explaining that the National Health Seminar related to maternal and child health is a national reality program and is in the medium-term development program and within the minimum service targets in the district. city. Then the Head of Study Program also explained the series of activities in the seminar. Closing his remarks, the Head of Study Program thanked the audience and the committee.
The last activity of this series of national health activities was a parallel class mobilization activity which was carried out in 10 rooms presenting various health topics filled out by selected Call For Paper participants. Various kinds of topics such as disease prevention and control, elderly health, maternal and child health, to health education and promotion, were included in the parallel class mobilization at this seminar.
