HumasUPNVJ - After struggling in basic military training for a student regiment for a week in Rindam Jaya, Jakarta. The UPN Veterans Jakarta Student Regiment officially closed the activities of its new members by wearing a purple beret.

Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs and Cooperation Dr. dr. Ria Maria Theresa, SpKJ., MH. Pinning purple berets to 8 new members of the UPNVJ Student Regiment Unit. The embedding was carried out in the lobby of the Jendral Soedirman Building, on Monday (27/01/20) which was attended by the vice chancellor for general and financial affairs, active members and supervisors of the UPNVJ student regiment.

Embedding the Berets ended a series of basic training activities for the UPNVJ student regiment identical to their purple beret. In the basic training conducted, members receive training on basic leadership, leadership discipline, physical health training and mental training.

M. Ikhsan Amar as the supervisor of the UPNVJ student regiment conveyed that this activity was the implementation of defending the country which was directly implanted so that later it could be implemented in everyday life.

“This event is very good to see that this student regiment is at the forefront of university security, especially UPNVJ. In the future, it is hoped that the student regiment will continue to be active, continue to be enthusiastic about activities related to defending the country and can implement the values of defending the country in real life.” Ikhsan said.
