HumasUPNVJ - Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) held an online Launching and Public Discussion with the work title "Learning Communication Through Stories and Humor Books Learning Communication through Stories and Humor" by Prof. Deddy Mulyana, MA, Ph.D
Three of the 10 skills needed in the 21st century, according to the World Economic Forum, are Creativity, Emotional intelligence, and People management. These three aspects are closely related to human emotions. While the emotions themselves are directly related to the sense of humor (Sense of Humor) . Students can explore the potential for humor in each of you, imagine that life without humor will have an impact on our mental health, said the Chancellor of UPNVJ Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak, CPMA, CA, CGOP in her remarks on Wednesday (29/09/21).
Through the UPNVJ Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) in collaboration with the Prenada Media group, the Information Commission of West Java Province, ISKI, KPI, ASPIKOM this activity could be held with the keynote speaker Dr. H. Sandiaga Salahudin Uno, (Sandiaga Uno) Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia.
In addition, other prestigious speakers were also present, including Jaya Suprana Pianist Budayawan, Dr. Anter Venus, MAComm UPNVJ Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Drs.
Alex Sobur, MA Lecturer at the Faculty of Communication at the Islamic University of Bandung (UNISBA), Dr. Leila Mona G., M.Si., CPR., CICS., CIQaR. Academics of the Faculty of Communication Sciences and Authors of Communication Books and Dr. Devie Rahmawati, M.Hum. Lecturer and Permanent Researcher of the Public Relations Vocational Program at the University of Indonesia.
"For more than one and a half years we have had to fight together against a pandemic that has had an impact on all fields, but we must continue to rise so that the tourism sector and the economy can be maximized," said Sandiaga Uno in his short remarks on Wednesday (29/09/21).
Sandiaga Uno also explained that the Creative Economy Agency always tries to implement various programs that are timely and on target.
"Support is carried out from various lines, from the field of the village economy to natural tourism and human resources. So hopefully the launch of this book will be a useful work in the midst of our struggle to revive the nation's economy," added Sandiaga.
Prof. Deddy Mulyana, besides being a writer he is also a Professor at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University (UNPAD). According to several sources, this one work is an out of the box work from previous works.
“The sense of humor that I mean here is our ability to be interested, to understand, to do and to enjoy the antics that are and are going on around us. An ability that will make our lives feel lighter, healthier and more hopeful,” he explained.
“I believe a sense of humor is important not only in the 21st century. But He will be the most important skill of our lifetime, indeed throughout human history. As Allen Klein said, Humor can be one of our best survival tools (humor can be one of our survival instruments)," said Prof. Deddy Mulyana.
