In his remarks during the opening ceremony, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense also gave directions to the 160 Dikwal participants, "The development of State Defense awareness is directed at warding off ideas, ideology and culture that conflict with the values of the personality of the Indonesian nation. Defending the Country is carried out continuously through education and training as well as outreach. The training for State Defense Cadres is expected to develop the character of love for the motherland, awareness of the nation and state, loyalty to Pancasila as the state ideology and willingness to sacrifice for the nation and state. The essence of fostering awareness of defending the country is an effort to build the character of the Indonesian nation which has a spirit of nationalism and patriotism as well as national resilience for the realization of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia which is Tough," he said.
"During the Training, participants will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitudes of nationalist and patriotic State Defense Cadres. I, as the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, advised that training participants follow all the rules and conditions that apply at the National Defense Education and Training Center for the Ministry of Defense, and carry out all instructions from teachers and trainers.
