UPNVJ PKKMB 2025: Creating Outstanding Students with National Defense Character and International Competitiveness

UPNVJ Public Relations - The National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) once again welcomed the arrival of the nation's next generation through the 2025 Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) activity.

📅 Date: August 11–12, 2025
📍 Location: Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta
👥 Participants: More than 4,000 new students

PKKMB UPNVJ is a gateway for new students to hone their potential, strengthen their National Defense character, and prepare themselves to face global challenges.

The event will be opened by the UPNVJ Chancellor and the leadership team, followed by a ceremony to inaugurate new students, with name tags being presented to representatives from each faculty. The event will also feature inspirational figures, including Kang Dedi Mulyadi (KDM), known for his local wisdom and down-to-earth leadership.

New students will also gain insight into the importance of obeying the law as a form of National Defense from Prof. Dr. Asep Nana Mulyana, SH, M.Hum., Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes. The spirit of nationalism will be enriched through material delivered by Intan Asmara Dewi, who encourages the younger generation to introduce Indonesian culture to the world, as well as an introduction to cultural values as a national identity by PPWK DKI Jakarta.

Readiness to face the era of global mobility will be discussed by H. Abdul Kadir Karding, S.Pi., M.Si., Minister of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI), who encourages students to become intelligent, caring, and resilient young talents. Utilizing the potential of the creative industry will be raised through a talk show with Ezra Mandira (musician and academic, former guitarist of HIVI), Gerhana BanyuBiru (Director of The Sounds Project & Co.), Maghfiro Ridho (Marketing Director of Ideafest), and Jessica Bunga (musician).

Important social issues such as sexual violence prevention, anti-bullying, mental health, and anti-drug literacy are also part of the PKKMB program, raising awareness of the importance of a safe, inclusive, and respectful campus environment. Inspiring stories from high-achieving students at the national and international levels will motivate participants to be bold in their work and make a real contribution to the nation.

The series of presentations will conclude with content creator and public figure Andovi Da Lopez's "Speaking Through Work: Expression, Values, and Hope" session, which will encourage students to channel positive ideas through concrete work. Also, Sonny Harry Budiutomo Harmadi, Deputy Head of the Central Statistics Agency, will emphasize the importance of making campuses a space for learning, growth, and contribution to society.

The PKKMB atmosphere became even more lively with a parade of Student Activity Units, cultural arts performances, the presentation of Patribera Awards to outstanding new students, and peak entertainment from guest stars.

The 2025 UPNVJ PKKMB demonstrates that orientation is more than just an introduction to the campus, but also the first step in developing academically superior individuals with strong character and readiness to compete internationally. With the spirit of National Defense, new students are expected to grow into the next generation who will bring positive change to Indonesia and the world.

Use this momentum to open yourself up, absorb positive values, and bring out your best potential as part of UPNVJ!
