UPNVJ Public Relations - Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) strengthened its international network through a visit by a delegation from Jiangxi University of Water Resources and Electric Power (JXUWP), China, on Wednesday (September 17, 2025). Held in Nusantara 1 Room, UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus, Jakarta, the visit marked the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in education, research, and innovation.
The JXUWP delegation was led by Lu Weifeng, Vice President of the Nanchang Institute of Technology (JXUWP), and welcomed by Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, M.Comm., Rector of UPNVJ, and staff. The signed MoU covers student and lecturer exchanges, research collaboration in civil engineering, water resources, and renewable energy, joint curriculum development, and the organization of seminars, workshops, and international conferences.
In his remarks, Prof. Anter Venus expressed UPNVJ's enthusiasm for partnering with JXUWP. "This collaboration supports an inclusive, innovative, and globally-minded educational ecosystem," he said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Lu Weifeng, Vice President of JXUWP expressed his interest in establishing a long-term partnership with UPNVJ and emphasized his university's commitment.
"We believe this collaboration will provide significant benefits, not only for both universities, but also for the wider community," he said.
Further discussions covered joint degree programs for undergraduate and graduate students, international conferences, joint research and publications, and an Adjunct Professor program. This collaboration is expected to be realized soon to strengthen the academic quality of both institutions.
This visit marks a strategic step for UPNVJ to enhance internationalization, particularly with China, while also supporting its vision of becoming a leading National Defense Campus on the global stage. This collaboration is expected to enhance the competitiveness and academic contributions of both universities' academic communities.
