Renewable Energy Innovation: UPNVJ Team Wins First Place in the 2025 Business Plan Gandeng x TBS Competition with a Prize of Rp50 Million

 

Public Relations of UPNVJ - Valtrizt Khalifah Warri, Kayla Alisha Rania, and Indy Agustin, students of the Bachelor of Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ), won 1st place in the Gandeng x TBS Renewable Energy Ideation Challenge 2025 competition. This business plan competition was held by Gandeng Consulting in collaboration with PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk on December 13, 2025 in Jakarta, with a focus on renewable energy innovation. The UPNVJ team beat dozens of national participants through a proposal that integrates information technology for sustainability solutions, receiving a prize of Rp100 million and the jury's appreciation for its relevance to the challenges of the energy industry.

The theme of the 2025 Gandeng x TBS Renewable Energy Ideation Challenge was developing digital entrepreneurial ideas for sustainable energy. Participants were required to develop innovative, applicable business plans, with assessments based on originality, feasibility, and socio-environmental impact. The UPNVJ team successfully presented an information technology-based solution that addresses the issues of misinformation and digital sovereignty in the energy sector, through a rigorous selection process from idea submission to final presentation.

This success reflects the ability of UPNVJ students to combine information systems knowledge with inclusive business strategies. This competition not only honed creativity but also opened up opportunities for industry collaboration, where teams gained firsthand insights from renewable energy practitioners to refine their proposals.
