UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) is collaborating with the national news portal Aktual.com and the State School to hold a "Goes to Campus" roadshow this Tuesday. (13/1)
The inaugural event, held at the UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine Building in Pondok Labu, South Jakarta, was attended by approximately 40 UPNVJ students, lecturers, and students from the Jakarta State Polytechnic (PNJ) and several other universities. The event aimed to provide media literacy education and share ideas on national issues and Indonesia's future, with the theme "Understanding a New Way of Viewing the Nation for Gen Z."
This roadshow is part of a series of visits by Aktual.com to ten public and private universities in the Greater Jakarta area from January to November 2026. Starting at UPNVJ, the event included interactive discussions to raise awareness among the younger generation about the state structure as a fundamental solution for national progress. This collaboration created a positive synergy between the media, research institutions, and students in amplifying the importance of national education.
The event was moderated by Dr. Asep Kamaluddin Nashir, M.Si, with keynote speakers Maliki, Ph.D (Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UPNVJ), Rinto Setyawan (Deputy Director of the Stateman School), Rizal Maulana (Editor-in-Chief of Aktual.com), and Prayogi R. Saputra (Director of the Stateman School). The speakers shared perspectives on media literacy and statecraft ideas, emphasizing the role of Generation Z in improving the nation through a new understanding of the state.
The Stateman School, as an independent research institution, contributes by providing structural solution-based education to national issues. Meanwhile, Aktual.com utilizes its platform to expand media literacy among students, in line with efforts to improve the quality of information in the digital age.
Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm, Rector of UPNVJ, welcomed this collaboration as part of the university's policy of strengthening external cooperation and developing student character. "Activities like this support UPNVJ's vision as a National Defense Campus, where students are encouraged to actively contribute to Indonesia's progress through a deep understanding of national issues," he said. This event is expected to be a catalyst for future roadshows, enriching the insights of the younger generation across campuses.
