Public Relations of UPNVJ - The Faculty of Computer Science of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (FIK UPNVJ) participated in Google Experience Day, a training and industrial visit organized by PointStar Indonesia in collaboration with Google Indonesia and SPC Factory. The event took place on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the SPC Factory & Training Center, involving vice deans, study program coordinators, and representatives of FIK UPNVJ lecturers. This activity aims to strengthen the digital capacity of higher education through a practical understanding of information and communication technology, with a focus on implementing tools for effective learning and institutional collaboration.
The first session included technical guidance on utilizing Google Workspace for Education. Speakers from PointStar Indonesia explained key features such as Google Classroom, Google Drive, and supporting applications for digital classrooms. Participants practiced distributing materials, monitoring and evaluation, and hybrid collaboration to improve academic efficiency and prepare faculty for the dynamics of digital-era education. This approach emphasized institutional transformation strategies, with faculty leaders playing a key role in driving technology adoption at the study program level.
The event continued with a visit to the SPC Factory production facility, which meets Domestic Component Level standards. Participants received an explanation of the information technology device manufacturing process, from assembly to quality testing, which supports the government's policy of strengthening the national industry. The visit illustrated the academic-industry relationship, including opportunities for applied research, market-relevant curriculum development, and graduate competencies aligned with technological needs.
This participation opens the potential for sustainable collaboration between global technology providers, domestic industry partners, and universities to improve the quality and relevance of information and communication education in Indonesia. This synergy is expected to foster innovation with a broad impact on the academic community and society.
In an official statement, the Dean of FIK UPNVJ, Prof. Supriyanto, stated, "This Google Experience Day strengthens the identity of National Defense through digital transformation of quality education. UPNVJ is committed to increasing the capacity of FIK until 2030, supporting the national target of inclusive and competitive information technology innovation towards Golden Indonesia 2045," he added.
