3. FISIP UPNVJ Strengthens Relationships Through Breaking the Fast Together and Retirement Farewell Ceremony

Public Relations of UPNVJ - The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of UPN Veteran Jakarta (FISIP UPNVJ) held a joint fast-breaking event which was combined with the release of four retired personnel on Thursday (26/2/2026) at the FISIP Auditorium, Building A. This activity was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and educational staff as a momentum to strengthen ties while also paying respect to the dedication of the academic community who were entering retirement.

On that occasion, the Dean of FISIP UPNVJ, Dr. S. Bekti Istiyanto, M.Si., officially released two lecturers, namely Dr. Sophiana Widiastutie, M.Si. from the International Relations Study Program and Dr. M. Muhadjir, MA from the Communication Science Study Program, as well as two educational staff, Purwadi, A.Md. and Dwi Murnati, MM. This release is a form of institutional appreciation for the dedication and contribution that has been given in supporting the Tridharma of Higher Education.

In his remarks, the Dean expressed his appreciation for the integrity and commitment of the retirees in carrying out their academic and administrative duties within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. He emphasized that exemplary work ethic, loyalty to the institution, and consistent professionalism are values that must be passed on to the next generation.

"On behalf of the leadership of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of UPNVJ, we express our deepest gratitude for your contributions and dedication. May this retirement be the beginning of new blessings," said Bekti.

Representing the retired personnel, Dwi Murnati, MM, expressed her pride and gratitude for completing her service at UPNVJ. She noted that the camaraderie and support of her colleagues were invaluable experiences during her time on duty. Her words were met with emotion by all in attendance.

As a token of respect, a symbolic souvenir presentation was held to the retired representatives, followed by a group photo session with the faculty leadership. This ceremony signified the faculty's commitment to maintaining a good relationship with the retired members as part of the UPNVJ family.

The series of activities also included a religious lecture by Dr. Tantan Hermansyah, M.Si., from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. In his sermon, he emphasized the importance of upholding the mandate of office and integrity, especially during Ramadan, which serves as a time for reflection and strengthening morals and professionalism.

The event concluded with a warm and friendly iftar. This event not only served as a space for appreciation for retired personnel but also strengthened the internal solidarity of the academic community.
