UPNVJ Public Relations – The Diploma Three (D3) Banking and Finance Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), remains committed to producing graduates who are work-ready and possess professional competencies in the financial industry sector. Established in 1963, the study program presents an industry-based curriculum and is supported by an extensive network of collaborations with various national financial institutions. This was conveyed by the Head of the D3 Banking and Finance Study Program, FEB UPNVJ, Mira Rahmi, SE, MBA., in an interview with the UPNVJ Public Relations Team in early March 2026 at the UPNVJ Campus.
According to Mira Rahmi, this study program's extensive experience is crucial in building its reputation and producing graduates who are spread across various financial industry sectors in Indonesia.
"The Diploma 3 Banking and Finance study program has been established since 1963. This means that our graduates are spread throughout Indonesia and work in various banking sectors and the financial industry," he said.
Under the auspices of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, the Diploma 3 Banking and Finance study program implements a curriculum designed to meet the needs of the workforce. Students gain not only theoretical understanding but also practical experience relevant to the financial industry.
Some of the learning practices implemented include banking operational simulations, capital market practices, business analysis, and business communications. Through this approach, students are expected to develop both the technical and professional skills required by industry.
In addition to its applicable curriculum, this study program also has an extensive network of partnerships with various national financial and banking institutions. These partnerships provide opportunities for students to participate in internships and expand their career opportunities after graduation.
"Another advantage is our network of partnerships with various institutions, including Bank Indonesia, Bank Negara Indonesia, Bank Syariah Indonesia, and Bank Muamalat. This collaboration opens up internship opportunities for students and increases their chances of working in relevant sectors," Mira explained.
Career prospects for graduates of the UPNVJ Diploma in Banking and Finance are also quite broad. Graduates can pursue careers as bank operations staff, financing analysts, banking customer service representatives, corporate financial administration staff, capital market analysts, and even develop businesses in the financial sector.
In addition to entering the workforce, graduates also have the opportunity to continue their education to the undergraduate level through a degree-transfer program. This scheme provides flexibility for graduates who wish to enhance their academic qualifications in economics and finance.
Through strengthening the industry-based curriculum, supporting comprehensive learning practices, and strategic collaboration networks with the national banking sector, the D3 Banking and Finance Study Program, FEB UPNVJ, is expected to continue contributing to preparing superior human resources capable of supporting the development of the Indonesian financial industry.
The Rector of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm., emphasized that the development of vocational study programs is a crucial part of the university's strategy to produce graduates who will impact society and the industrial world. Through adaptive and practice-based vocational education, UPNVJ is committed to producing competent, professional graduates who are ready to contribute to national economic development.
