UPNVJ Holds PKKMB 2026 in Senayan, Featuring AHY and Jerome Polin

UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) will hold an Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) for the 2026 academic year on August 10–11, 2026, at the Tennis Indoor Stadium in Senayan, Jakarta. The event, attended by thousands of new students for the 2026/2027 academic year, carries the theme "Young People with Character to Defend the Nation, Making a Real Impact on the Nation."

The 2026 UPNVJ PKKMB is designed as a space for introducing university life as well as initial preparation for new students so they are able to adapt to the academic environment, understand national values, and develop the character and competencies needed to face the changing times.

To enrich the perspectives of new students, UPNVJ presented a number of speakers from various fields. They included the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Prof. Stella Christie, Ph.D., Minister of Manpower Yassierli, Head of the National Narcotics Agency of the Republic of Indonesia Suyudi Ario Seto, public figure and educator Jerome Polin Sijabat, B.Eng., and social activist Inayah Wulandari Wahid.

The presence of speakers with backgrounds in government, education, science, employment, social, and creativity is expected to provide diverse insights to new students regarding the importance of education, self-development, social responsibility, and the contribution of the younger generation to society.

UPNVJ Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm., stated that the implementation of PKKMB is an important part of building a foundation for students during their education at university.

"PKKMB is an initial opportunity for new students to become familiar with the academic environment, the values developed by UPNVJ, and the various opportunities they can take advantage of during their education. We want students to have a positive initial experience and be prepared to grow, learn, and contribute in their respective fields," said Venus.

According to Venus, the national defense values that are UPNVJ's identity need to be translated contextually into students' lives. These values can be realized through integrity, discipline, responsibility, concern for others, a passion for learning, and the use of knowledge to benefit society.

The theme "Youth with Character Defending the Nation, Making a Real Impact on the Nation" was chosen to reinforce this message. New students are expected to understand that the educational process at university is not solely about academic achievement, but also about character development and awareness for participating in social life.

PKKMB UPNVJ 2026 also provides space for outstanding students from a number of faculties, including the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Computer Science, Faculty of Law, and Faculty of Engineering to share experiences with new students.

It is hoped that student involvement will provide an overview of the learning process, achievement development, student activities, and various self-development opportunities available during their education at UPNVJ.

To provide wider access, UPNVJ also provides live streaming of the PKKMB series through the official UPN Veteran Jakarta YouTube channel so that parents of students and the public can follow the activities online.

Through the 2026 PKKMB (Program Kerja Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia), UPNVJ hopes that new students will begin their academic journey with a solid understanding of the campus environment, their responsibilities as students, and the values of national defense that characterize the university. UPNVJ is committed to building an educational ecosystem that supports students' academic development, character development, adaptability, and the ability to make positive contributions to society.
