UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) has been entrusted to host the Student Creativity Program (PKP2) and PKM Award Progress Assessment in 2026, organized by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. The PKP2 series will take place from September 14–18, 2026, and will be followed by the PKM Award on Monday, September 21, 2026. UPNVJ's appointment as the organizer is part of the university's support for strengthening the creativity, innovation, and achievements of Indonesian students.
This trust was established through the Decree of the Director of Learning and Student Affairs Number 67/B2/KPT/2026, dated August 31, 2026. Previously, UPNVJ had expressed its willingness to host through a letter from the UPNVJ Chancellor on August 26, 2026, which was then followed up with a letter of appointment from the Director of Learning and Student Affairs on August 28, 2026.
As host, UPNVJ not only provides the venue and technical support, but also assists the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs in organizing the PKP2 and PKM Awards. These duties include promoting the activities, mentoring hosts and co-hosts, providing facilities and infrastructure, administrative and technical support, and monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the activities.
The implementation of PKP2 is a crucial stage in the 2026 Student Creativity Program (PKM) series. This year, 1,121 PKM proposals have been awarded funding. After student teams complete the program and undergo progress assessments, the series continues with the PKM Award, a recognition of the creativity, innovation, dedication, and process undertaken by students, supervising lecturers, and universities.
The 2026 PKM Award will take place online on Monday, September 21, 2026, starting at 12:30 p.m. WIB (Western Indonesian Time) via Zoom and broadcast on the YouTube channels of the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs and UPN "Veteran" Jakarta. Higher education leaders, Higher Education Service Institutions (LLDIKTI) Regions I–XVII, and various related parties are also invited to participate.
In its welcoming speech as host, UPNVJ expressed its appreciation to the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs for the trust placed in the university to support the organization of this national event. For UPNVJ, its responsibility as host also presents an opportunity to contribute more broadly to the development of creativity, innovation, and achievement among Indonesian students.
UPNVJ also views the PKP2 and PKM Awards as more than just a platform for evaluation and appreciation. These activities are expected to serve as learning platforms for students to continuously develop ideas, generate innovation, and present work that provides tangible benefits to society and the nation.
This spirit aligns with UPNVJ's identity as a National Defense Campus. In the current context, contributions to national defense extend beyond defense to the development of science, technology, economics, social issues, health, the environment, and various other sectors of life. Student creativity and innovation are therefore seen as concrete contributions from the younger generation to the nation.
The PKP2 program targets student participants in the 2026 PKM program who have been selected for the assessment phase, the implementation team and accompanying lecturers, hosts and co-hosts, reviewers, participating universities, and the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs. Through this process, student teams receive assessments, evaluations, and feedback on the development of their programs.
The appointment of UPNVJ as host also strengthens the university's role in the ecosystem for developing student achievement at the national level. UPNVJ is committed to carrying out this responsibility professionally, orderly, and responsibly, and providing optimal support for the implementation of the 2026 PKP2 and PKM Awards.
