Winning the 2026 Mpok Pinilih and Mpok Kreatif Awards, UPNVJ Students Are Ready to Promote Depok's Potential

UPNVJ Public Relations – Another student from the Veteran National Development University (UPNVJ) Jakarta has achieved another achievement. Aliyah Diva Aryanto, a student in the Communication Studies Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), won first place in the Mpok Pinilih and Mpok Kreatif categories at the 2026 Abang-Mpok Depok competition.

This achievement provides Aliyah with a platform to apply the communication and creativity skills she learned in college. Through her role as Mpok Depok, she aims to promote the city's potential and foster closer communication with the community.

In an interview on Thursday (October 1, 2026), Aliyah expressed her gratitude for this achievement. She attributed her success to the support of various parties who accompanied her throughout the 2026 Depok Abang-Mpok election process.

"I am very grateful for this achievement. Winning first place as a Mpok Pinilih and Mpok Kreatif Abang-Mpok Depok 2026 was a very meaningful experience for me. Of course, this achievement is inseparable from the support of my family, friends, campus, and all those who have encouraged and trusted me," said Aliyah.

For Aliyah, the title isn't the end of the competition. The title of Mpok Pinilih actually brings a new responsibility to continue learning and making relevant contributions to society, particularly in highlighting the diverse potential of Depok City.

"I hope that after receiving this title, I won't stop at personal achievement. I want to continue learning, developing my creativity, and contributing to promoting Depok City's potential, particularly through communication and positive work that can benefit the community," he said.

Communication Science Becomes a Provision for Contribution

As a Communication Studies student at UPNVJ, Aliyah views communication skills as more than just the ability to convey a message. She believes communication also plays a role in building relationships, understanding community needs, and presenting regional potential in an engaging and relevant manner.

"For me, communication isn't just about getting a message across, but also about building relationships, listening to the community, and conveying regional potential in creative and relevant ways. I want to apply the knowledge I've learned in college through my role at Abang-Mpok Depok," he said.

This combination of academic knowledge and experience in the public sphere equips Aliyah to fulfill her role. Her Creative Mpok title also enhances her opportunities to present ideas and communication projects that can support the promotion of Depok City's potential.

Aliyah's achievements add to UPNVJ students' achievements beyond academics. Participation in various competitions also provides an opportunity to develop communication skills, creativity, leadership, and social awareness.
