UPNVJ's DWP Presents Three Experts to Discuss Digital Literacy and Family Financial Management

UPNVJ Public Relations – The Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of the “Veteran” National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) held a webinar entitled “Resilient Families in the Digital Era: Digital Literacy, Security, and Ethics in the Family” on Monday, October 26, 2026. The event, which took place from 08.00–13.00 WIB in the BEJ Hall, MH Thamrin Building, Faculty of Economics and Business UPNVJ, presented three speakers from different fields. The webinar aimed to increase participants’ understanding of the wise use of technology, digital security protection, and managing family life amidst technological developments.

The three speakers were Dr. Krisno Septyan, SE, MSAk., SAS., Donny Budi Utoyo, ST, M.Sc., and Eddy Prayitno. This event was also supported by Bank Muamalat as a partner.

UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm., emphasized in his remarks that technological advancements have transformed various aspects of society. He stated that the ability to adapt to technology must be accompanied by an awareness of maintaining security, privacy, and ethical behavior in interactions.

The Chancellor assessed that the activities organized by DWP UPNVJ have important relevance because the family is one of the closest environments in forming technology usage habits.

He also reminded that digital skills are not only measured by the ability to operate devices, but must also include responsibility in using technology.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of DWP UPNVJ, Rena Venus, expressed her appreciation to all the speakers who participated in the activity.

According to Rena, digital technology has become a vital part of people's lives, including in education. However, this ease of access to information also presents various challenges, one of which is the spread of fake news or hoaxes.

Through this webinar, DWP UPNVJ strives to provide participants with an understanding so they can utilize technology more critically, safely, and responsibly.

In the presentation session, Dr. Krisno Septyan discussed household accounting related to digital ethics, the role of parents, and family financial management.

Meanwhile, Donny Budi Utoyo presented material on digital literacy, security, and ethics within the family. The discussion focused on the importance of building family awareness of the risks of technology use.

Eddy Prayitno's presence completed the series of presentations from the three speakers invited to the event.

The holding of this webinar reflects the role of the UPNVJ DWP in supporting family capacity building through educational activities relevant to community development.

In line with the UPNVJ Chancellor's attention to the importance of digital skills, this activity is expected to encourage the formation of families who are not only able to keep up with technological developments, but also have an awareness of maintaining privacy, security, and ethics in everyday life.
