UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) continues to develop and improve campus facilities to support a safe, comfortable, and productive educational environment. One of the steps currently underway is the renovation of the security post and the construction of a business unit located in front of the UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus in South Jakarta.
Construction of the facility is currently underway and is targeted for completion in December 2026. This project is part of the university's efforts to optimize the use of campus space and facilities through the development of multifunctional buildings that integrate security services with business activities.
The planned two-story building will have distinct but complementary functions. The first floor will serve as a campus security post, while the second will be dedicated to the development of UPNVJ's business units.
The security post on the first floor is expected to improve the quality of security services, particularly in monitoring vehicle movement and public activity on campus. Given its location at the front of the campus, this facility plays a strategic role as a primary point of security and service for the academic community and visitors.
Meanwhile, the use of the second floor as a business unit is UPNVJ's step in developing economic potential by optimizing the university's assets and facilities.
The development of this business unit is expected to open up opportunities for productive business activities while adding value to campus facility management. Its presence also forms part of an effort to encourage more effective, innovative, and sustainable management of university resources.
In addition to enhancing service functions, the two-story building concept reflects an efficient approach to land use within the campus environment. By integrating two functions within a single building, UPNVJ strives to provide infrastructure that not only supports operational needs but also has the potential for economic development.
The ongoing construction in the front area of the Pondok Labu Campus is also expected to support the arrangement of the campus entrance area to make it more orderly, representative, and functional.
Through the construction of these facilities, which are targeted for completion by the end of 2026, UPNVJ affirms its commitment to continuously improving infrastructure and developing supporting facilities as part of improving the quality of services and university governance.
The presence of a security post integrated with the business unit is expected to provide long-term benefits, both in supporting the security and comfort of the campus environment and in strengthening the optimization of university assets.
