UPNVJ Public Relations — Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) has expanded its student parking facilities by providing UPNVJ Parking Area 2 on Jalan Rangu, Pangkalan Jati, Cinere, Depok. Located approximately 200 meters from the Pondok Labu Campus, the approximately 1,000-square-meter site can accommodate up to 400 motorcycles and is designed to support student mobility, particularly for the new class of 2026.
The provision of a new parking area is part of UPNVJ's efforts to address the growing need for parking space as academic activities increase. Its relatively close location to the Pondok Labu Campus allows students to park their vehicles outside the main campus area before continuing their journey to lectures.
The UPNVJ 2 Parking Area is also expected to help reduce vehicle congestion on campus. By distributing parking to buffer areas, vehicle flow on the Pondok Labu campus can be managed more orderly while providing a more comfortable space for academic activities.
The Head of General Affairs at UPNVJ said that the addition of these facilities was part of improving facilities and infrastructure to meet student needs.
"The addition of the UPNVJ 2 Parking Area is one solution to meet the parking needs of students, especially new students of the Class of 2026. Its location, only about 200 meters from the Pondok Labu Campus, provides easy access, while also supporting the creation of a more orderly, safe, and comfortable campus environment," he said.
The UPNVJ 2 Parking Area is equipped with vehicle circulation lanes, parking markings, lighting, a monitoring system, and parking attendants. These facilities are designed to ensure student vehicles are more neatly parked during their academic activities on campus.
For two-wheeled vehicles, UPNVJ sets a parking fee of Rp1,500 per vehicle. This fee is used to support operational management and parking facilities, ensuring orderly and sustainable service.
The parking area is located on Jalan Rangu, Pangkalan Jati Village, Cinere District, Depok City, approximately 200 meters from the Pondok Labu Campus. Covering an area of approximately 1,000 square meters and accommodating up to 400 motorcycles, this facility serves as a buffer zone for UPNVJ student mobility.
The provision of the UPNVJ 2 Parking Area completes UPNVJ's efforts to improve facilities to support academic activities. Previously, the university had also focused on developing land for parking and multifunctional public spaces as part of strengthening campus facilities.
Through these additional facilities, UPNVJ continues to promote a campus environment that is orderly, safe, comfortable, and focused on quality student services. Strengthening supporting facilities is crucial to ensuring that the growth in the number and activities of the academic community is accompanied by the readiness of campus facilities.
