Prasetyo Hadi Deputy Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance said that the purpose of holding this visit and hearing was to discuss what follow-up actions should be taken so that later on the signing of the collaboration would be held. This is also done to fill in one of the accreditation indicators for state universities where the number of students who have conducted natural disaster management training is listed.

"In accreditation there is a point where we have to provide the number of students who have conducted disaster management training, it is hoped that our arrival can begin to find out what steps must be taken so that we will collaborate later," said Prasetyo Hadi.

Eddy Herryanto, Head of the Basarnas Potential Preparation Section, explained thoroughly what things are in Basarnas, starting from the legal basis, organizational structure, facilities owned by Basarnas, to how Basarnas works to detect disasters and accidents on land, sea and air.

Eddy also explained that selecting a team to work in the field was not an easy thing. Search and Rescue (SAR) team candidates must have high integrity and commitment to support and participate in SAR activities.

Eddy also provided some information on how the team could find out several incidents of accidents and disasters that occurred at sea or in the air using satellites. There are several transmitters that will give a signal if an accident or disaster occurs at sea or in the air.
