HumasUPNVJ - UPN Veteran Jakarta Mechanical Engineering students who are members of the Patriot Team Student Study Group have participated in the Shell Eco Marathon Asia 2019 which was held in Sepang, Malaysia from April 28 to May 4 2019. Shell Eco Marathon is an energy-efficient car competition held by Dutch oil and gas company, SHELL . In 2019, the Shell Eco Marathon Asia competition was attended by various countries in Asia at the university level. To take part in this competition the team must take part in the selection first, the selection itself must be in accordance with the regulations set by SHELL taking into account the safety factors and the readiness of the participants. The competition has several categories, namely urban concept vehicles and prototype concept vehicles. The urban concept vehicle is a type of car with 4 wheels resembling a conventional car, while the prototype concept is a type of car with 3 wheels resembling a capsule. From the concept it is further divided into several classes based on fuel, namely gasoline, diesel, hydrogen, battery electric fuels. The Patriot team itself takes part in the Urban concept category with the Gasoline class. For the participation of the Patriot team in the Shell Eco Marathon Asia 2019 competition, the Patriot team received an award of US$ 1,250   for their participation.
