To prevent Corona, UPNVJ Provides Hand Sanitizer and Thermal Scanner

The Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) provides hand sanitizers in several corners of both the faculty and rectorate buildings to encourage clean living behavior. The hand sanitizer is provided for everyone in the UPNVJ environment. Monday (16/3/2020).

Apart from hand sanitizers, UPNVJ also provides body temperature measuring devices or thermal scanners. This tool is provided to check the health condition or body temperature of everyone, be it guests, employees, students or the public who are in the UPNVJ environment.

"There are members whose job is to measure body temperature with a thermal scanner." Said Deputy Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance Prasetyo Hadi.

He also added that when the body temperature is examined, it tends to be high above 37.5 degrees, then it is advisable to immediately take treatment and be allowed to go to the hospital, while the body temperature is below 37.5 degrees, it is permissible to enter the UPNVJ environment. Actions like this are a form of preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

"Considering that UPNVJ is an institution in the field of education, service activities must continue. So we provide hand sanitizers and thermal scanners," he said

Prasetyo also said, apart from providing hand sanitizers, the UPNVJ Polyclinic was also on standby and providing education on how to wash hands properly and correctly with soap or with a hand sanitizer.

In addition, in order to be aware of the spread of the Covid-19 virus, UPNVJ issued Circular Number: 23/UN61.0/SE/2020 concerning Measures to prevent the spread of the corona virus (covid-19) within the UPN Veteran Jakarta environment. One of the policies conveyed in the circular letter is to change face-to-face lectures to distance learning (PJJ).
