HumasUPNVJ - Hana Hanifah, a student at the Information Systems Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) and three colleagues passed the 34th National Student Scientific Week (Pimnas) in 2021.
Starting from seeing business opportunities based on the current situation, where many people need relaxation for both physical health and peace of mind.
Hana and three colleagues, namely Naufal Rachmandani, Muhamad Iqbal Ardana, Medina Nurul Zahra who are also from the same faculty, came up with the idea for a mobile application -based diffuser product, namely WANGI.
"This idea is based on the business opportunity of the smart home concept today. There are already many people who are interested and even have a device with a smart home concept, which can be controlled via a mobile app. We see that diffusers are becoming a trend in people's daily lives both at home and at the office today,” said Hana, who is the team leader when interviewed via Whatsapp, Sunday (03/10/21).
"Previously we took part in a campus competition. We brainstormed ideas continuously until we finally found the idea for this Mobile App-based Diffuser, from an internal competition on campus, thank God we won 1st place and from that competition we came to know what things were lacking in the proposal based on the reviews of the jury," he continued
Not only satisfied there, Hana and three colleagues registered to submit a Student Creativity Program (PKM) proposal, with good cooperation they passed the funding stage and the WANGI product could be realized.
"We get Rp. 10,000,000 according to what we submitted in the proposal, you use the money for diffuser production starting from research, buying machines, materials, packaging, making applications, etc. to making and presenting the results of reports," said Hana.
The struggle did not betray the results, Hana and her three colleagues became the only UPNVJ team that qualified for the prestigious Pimnas 2021 event.
“After the final report, we really didn't expect our team to qualify as the only UPNVJ representative team. Of course we are very grateful and I hope we can do our best for UPNVJ's beloved campus at the PIMNAS event later," he hoped.
"We were able to reach this stage thanks to the hard work and also our supervisor Mr. Rudhy Ho Purabaya and also Ms. Catur Nugrahaeni who played a very important role in supporting us in this PKM activity."
