HumasUPNVJ - Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) received a visit from Widyatama University on Thursday (4/11/21) at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, 4th Floor, UPNVJ Rector Building. The arrival of Widyatama University was carried out in the framework of signing a memorandum of understanding in the field of research, especially the management of scientific journals.
Present at this event was the Chancellor of UPNVJ, Erna Hernawati along with other leaders and lecturers. From Widyatama University it was attended by the Chancellor, Prof.Dr. H. Obsatar Sinaga, M.Sc, and his staff, "We came with the aim of wanting to improve journal management even better in terms of preparation and also the contents of the journal material," said Chancellor Widyatama in his remarks.
Obsatar highlighted a number of things in his remarks and presentation, one of which was the implementation of Freedom to Learn on an Independent Campus which had to be criticized in several aspects. "In my opinion, currently the infrastructure for MBKM still needs to be repaired, what's ready is the only policy. The MBKM philosophy is good but the infrastructure is still not ready. For example, students besides thesis can be replaced with journal articles, which once submitted and get an LOA ( Letter of Acceptance ) can graduate immediately," he added
UPNVJ Chancellor, Dr. Erna Hernawati in her remarks said that she would be very supportive of the collaboration with the signing of this memorandum of understanding, "This meeting must be used to be able to learn better and we must have a strategy to correct the shortcomings of UPNVJ and be able to foster better relations with other universities" Erna said
Erna also hopes that this meeting is only the beginning of the next meetings related to university management. "We have learned a lot from Widyatama University, on another occasion I hope we can also discuss MBKM. Hopefully today's meeting will not pass you by and I will support everything that accommodates quality research and the number increases, "concluded the Chancellor of UPNVJ
Not only signing the memorandum of understanding, in this activity there was also a discussion and question and answer session between UPNVJ and Widyatama University.
