UPNVJ Public Relations – The National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) officially started a series of Academic Integrity Socialization activities within the faculty environment with the implementation of a Kick Off Meeting at the Faculty of Law on Monday, July 28, 2025. This activity is an initiative of the UPNVJ Academic Integrity Team as part of an effort to increase awareness and implementation of integrity values among the academic community, especially UPNVJ Lecturers at the Faculty of Law.
This outreach is the first step in a series of similar activities to be held in stages across all faculties at UPNVJ. The primary goal is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the importance of maintaining integrity in the academic process, from writing scientific papers and honesty in evaluations to reporting mechanisms for academic ethics violations.
At the opening ceremony, a representative from the UPNVJ Academic Integrity Team stated that integrity is not just a slogan, but a fundamental foundation for maintaining the quality of higher education and the institution's reputation. Therefore, all campus elements are expected to understand and consistently apply the principles of academic integrity.
This activity also serves as a forum for interactive dialogue between the Academic Integrity Team and lecturers at the UPNVJ Faculty of Law, with the hope of creating a healthy academic culture free from practices that undermine scientific ethics.
Several lecturers raised questions and offered critical responses, particularly regarding strengthening UPNVJ's research ecosystem from upstream to downstream, as well as the relevance of academic integrity principles to the implementation and reporting of the Lecturer Performance Load (BKD). The discussion was interactive and reflected the academic community's enthusiasm for achieving high-quality and accountable academic governance.
Through this activity, UPNVJ affirms its commitment to continuously strengthening integrity values in all aspects of higher education. This series of outreach activities will be gradually extended to all faculties as part of an effort to institutionalize an ethical and dignified academic culture.
