UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine Holds Nurturing Meeting to Prepare for International Medical Accreditation

UPNVJ Public Relations - The Faculty of Medicine, Veteran National Development University Jakarta (FK UPNVJ) held a nurturing meeting in preparation for international accreditation for the Undergraduate Medical Program and the Professional Doctor Program. This hybrid event took place on November 3, 2025, and was attended by the accreditation team in person in the FK UPNVJ Dean's Meeting Room, as well as representatives from the International Association for Academic Health Education and Humanities (IAAHEH) and the Independent Accreditation Institute for Health Universities (LAM-PTKes) via Zoom.

The meeting was led by IAAHEH representative Setyowati, who provided guidance on the stages and technical aspects of nurturing to meet international accreditation standards. Also present were LAM-PTKes assessors Dr. dr. Hendriati, Sp.M(K), and Dr. Sudirman Katu, Sp.PD-KPTI, who discussed preparation strategies, document refinement, and harmonization of global medical education quality standards with the study program team.

The discussion focused on concrete steps, including meeting international criteria aligned with national regulations. This activity affirmed the Faculty of Medicine UPNVJ's commitment to improving the quality of medical education, in line with the Indonesian government's efforts to align higher health education with global standards, as stipulated in Minister of Health Regulation No. 2 of 2017 concerning Standards for Medical Professional Education.

The meeting concluded with the development of a follow-up plan, including a document evaluation schedule and visitation simulations, to ensure accreditation is achieved in 2026.
