UPNVJ Public Relations — Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) held the Western Region Quality Assurance Forum for the State University Cooperation Agency (BKS-PTN) at the MERCe Auditorium, Limo Campus (November 7, 2025). The main agenda included the dissemination of the mechanisms and instruments for superior accreditation from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting (LAMEMBA).
Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE, M.Sc., Ak., CMA., CA., a member of the LAMEMBA Accreditation Council, delivered an in-depth presentation on regulatory changes following the issuance of Permendiktisintek Number 39 of 2025 concerning Higher Education Quality Assurance. This activity brought together leaders of quality institutions from state universities in the western region to strengthen adaptation to the new policy.
Prof. Dian Agustia emphasized that this regulation revises the accreditation governance process based on meeting or exceeding the National Higher Education Standards (SN Dikti). Accredited study programs now have the opportunity to apply for international certification, boosting global competitiveness without compromising national principles. She added that this change encourages concrete evidence of exceeding the standards of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
The socialization introduced two superior accreditation statuses: Two-Year Superior Accreditation and Five-Year Superior Accreditation. The two-year status requires a minimum of 70% of indicators to be met, plus eight key indicators exceeding the SN Dikti. The five-year status requires 90% of indicators to be achieved, including superior lecturer output and publications.
LAMEMBA established seven assessment criteria, including strategic orientation, governance and governance, student management, faculty and educational staff management, finance and infrastructure, education and teaching, and research and community service. Each criterion measures a study program's ability to exceed the National Education Standards (SN Dikti), with an emphasis on the relevance of outcomes for stakeholders.
The superior accreditation process consists of four stages: application via the LEXA system, a sufficiency assessment with validation by a panel of assessors, a field assessment with recommendations for development, and determination by the LAMEMBA Executive Board and Accreditation Council. A plenary meeting determines the final status and issues the official certificate.
LAMEMBA offers a Quality Strengthening Program through the LAMEMBA Development Center (LDC) on a voluntary basis to support preparation for ongoing accreditation. UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm., stated that this activity builds synergy between universities towards superior quality and global competitiveness.
This forum strengthens UPNVJ's commitment to the national quality ecosystem. It is hoped that universities in the western region will be able to implement new instruments for performance-based and accountability-based higher education.
