UPN Veteran Jakarta's Achievement: Second Place in Gema Aksara Vol. 5 in the Inclusive Digital Entrepreneurship Category

UPNVJ Public Relations - The Search and Rescue (SAR) team from the Veteran National Development University (UPNVJ) Jakarta won second place in the Gema Aksara Vol. 5 Business Plan Competition held by Bina Sarana Informatika University (UBSI) in Jakarta. The competition, themed "Smart Step For a Fast World: Empowering Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Digital Era," was attended by dozens of teams from various universities in Indonesia, which took place on November 19, 2025.

The SAR team, consisting of Syifa Nurul Azizah, Rafli Andera Ramadhan, and Riznar Oliviera (all students from the class of 2024), successfully excelled with a business proposal entitled VILLEARN.

The competition took place in three stages: elimination through the Business Model Canvas, submission of complete proposals, and a final offline presentation before a panel of judges in November 2025. Of the ten teams that qualified for the final round, the SAR Team managed to take second place after Apexvision (University of Indonesia) as 1st Place and above AF Vision (Budi Luhur University) as 3rd Place.

VILLEARN is an inclusive edutech platform that provides learning materials in Indonesian Sign Language (BISINDO) through interactive videos, animations, and online communities. This innovation aims to provide equal access to education for deaf children while also addressing the need for disability-friendly digital entrepreneurship towards Indonesia Emas 2045.

UPN Veteran Jakarta Rector, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, DEA, welcomed this achievement. "The SAR Team's success demonstrates that UPNVJ students are capable of producing real solutions that are competitive and promote social inclusion. This aligns with our vision of developing a generation of national defenders who are innovative, entrepreneurial, and concerned with humanitarian issues," he said.

This achievement adds to UPNVJ's list of achievements in national entrepreneurship events throughout 2025 and is concrete evidence of the university's commitment to encouraging students to create sustainable businesses that have a positive impact on society.
