UPNVJ Public Relations - The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of the National Veteran Development University (UPNVJ) held a soft launch of 16 books published in 2025 in the LPPM Meeting Room on Monday (11/17/2025). This event marked the first collaboration with national publishers Damira and Erlangga and strengthened the positive trend of book publications by UPNVJ lecturers.
Dr. Sri Lestari Wahyuningroem, Head of the UPNVJ Research and Development Institute (LPPM), stated that starting in 2026, the Chancellor is committed to fully supporting the publication of lecturers' books through a special budget and distribution. "Next year, we are targeting 50 new books. Our focus is not only on quantity, but also on tangible benefits for the UPNVJ academic community and other universities," she said.
Satria Yudhia Wijaya, Head of the Research and Community Service Technical Implementation Unit (LPMPP), added that LPPM Press, established in 2022, has grown rapidly. "From just four titles in the first year, it has now reached 16 titles in 2025. This is clear evidence of the improving research and publication culture at UPNVJ," he said.
A representative from Damira Publishing stated that the challenges of ISBN management at the National Library were successfully overcome, resulting in all books being included in the national catalog and distributed to various provinces. "We are also ready to assist LPPM Press in becoming an independent business unit, from consulting services to marketing," he added.
One of the authors, Ranila, SE, MM, a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business at UPNVJ, expressed her pride that her book, "Entrepreneurship and Digital Business," is now available at Gramedia. "This is a dream come true, and I hope it will motivate my fellow lecturers," she said.
UPNVJ Chancellor Prof. Anter Venus, MA, MM, through an official statement from the Head of LPPM, emphasized that increasing book publications is part of the vision of the national defense campus to produce high-quality scientific works that have a broad impact on higher education and Indonesian society.
