UPNVJ Public Relations - Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) is finalizing preparations for the National Defense Literacy Exam as part of the 2026 UPNVJ Independent Selection (SEMA), specifically for undergraduate students in the Medicine program who will take the exam face-to-face. The briefing was held offline on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, involving representatives from various supporting fields. This activity was led by UPNVJ's New Student Admissions Coordinator, Fajar Nugroho, to ensure that all implementing elements understand the flow, tasks, and service standards during the exam.
This briefing is a crucial part of UPNVJ's readiness to conduct computer-based tests (CBT) directly on campus. For the 2026 UPNVJ Student Senate (SEMA), the academic pathway will use the 2026 UTBK-SNBT scores and the 2026 National Defense Literacy Test scores as graduation criteria. The National Defense Literacy Test is scheduled for June 25, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. WIB, both online and in-person for the Bachelor of Medicine program.
In his briefing, Fajar Nugroho emphasized that cross-sector coordination is key to ensuring the exam runs smoothly, safely, and according to procedure. All staff have been assigned to their respective roles, including security, cleaning, secretarial, public relations, room supervisors, technicians, and other support staff.
This division of tasks is carried out to ensure that each stage of service to participants runs effectively. Security officers are responsible for maintaining order and smooth participant mobility, the cleaning team ensures the readiness of the exam rooms and environment, and the secretariat supports the administration of the exam. Meanwhile, proctors and technicians play a direct role in ensuring that the CBT exam runs according to established technical procedures.
UPNVJ previously tightened supervision of the 2026 National Defense Literacy Semester Exam (SEMA), including through an online trial run attended by thousands of participants. The offline trial was intended for participants choosing the Bachelor of Medicine study program, while participants in that group received guidance and a readiness test on the day of the exam.
National Defense Literacy is one of the hallmarks of UPNVJ's independent selection process as a National Defense Campus. This exam not only measures prospective students' academic readiness but also serves as a tool to assess participants' understanding of Pancasila, national insight, citizenship, and the values of national defense. During the previous year's Student Examination (SEMA), UPNVJ also emphasized that the National Defense Literacy Exam is part of the institution's commitment to building prospective students' character.
The implementation of the 2026 UPNVJ Student Admissions Exam reflects the commitment of UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm, to strengthening the transparent, orderly, and quality-oriented management of new student admissions. Through coordinated cross-unit preparations, UPNVJ hopes that the implementation of the National Defense Literacy Exam specifically for the Bachelor of Medicine program will run smoothly while strengthening public trust in UPNVJ's entrance selection system.
UPNVJ strives to ensure all staff have a shared understanding of participant arrival procedures, exam procedures, monitoring mechanisms, equipment readiness, and communication patterns in the event of any challenges encountered in the field. This readiness is crucial because implementing in-person exams requires more detailed coordination, particularly regarding technical aspects, security, participant services, and problem mitigation.
