UPNVJ Student Organization Inauguration 2026: Chancellor Anter Venus Emphasizes Synergy and Real Impact of Students

 

Public Relations of UPNVJ – The Chancellor of the Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ), Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm, officially inaugurated the Chair of the Student Consultative Assembly (MPM), the Chair of the Student Executive Board (BEM), and 29 Chairs of Student Activity Units (UKM) at the university level for the 2026 period. This inauguration took place at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, 4th Floor, UPNVJ Campus, on Wednesday morning, January 21, 2026, as part of the work program of the Student Affairs Division of the Bureau of Student Administration and Cooperation (AKK). This activity aims to strengthen student organizations (ormawa) to provide real impact through synergy, collaboration, and prioritizing the value of national defense, in accordance with higher education regulations.

 

This inauguration refers to Law Number 12 of 2012 Article 14, which requires universities to foster co-curricular and extracurricular activities to develop students' interests, talents, and reasoning. Furthermore, UPNVJ Rector Regulation Number 10 of 2020 Article 12 Paragraph 2 and Article 20 Paragraph 3 stipulate that the rector is responsible for inaugurating the heads of BEM and UKM after being appointed through a rector's decree. The event was attended by the vice rector, dean, deputy dean, heads of bureaus, heads of institutions, advisors, and the student affairs team, demonstrating a shared commitment to supporting student activities.

 

In his remarks, Prof. Anter Venus emphasized that the inauguration marks the first step for the new management to carry out their mandate and responsibilities in accordance with the duties and authorities of each student organization, based on UPNVJ regulations. "The 2026 student organization and student activity programs must have a real impact, synergize, and collaborate in achieving achievements by prioritizing the values of national defense," he said. He also required the management to participate in the Student Leadership and Management Training (PKMM) scheduled for February 2026 to improve their leadership capacity.

 

In closing, Prof. Anter Venus stated that this policy reflects UPNVJ's achievements in developing a strong and patriotic generation of students. "With this inauguration, we are optimistic that UPNVJ student organizations will increasingly contribute positively to society, in line with the university's vision as a center for national defense education," he said, while emphasizing the rectorate's commitment to supporting every innovative and impactful student initiative.
