Public Relations of UPNVJ - Students of the International Relations Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ), Novia Kusuma Wardhani and Khansa Khairunnisa, presented a book literacy presentation entitled "Educating Children in the Digital Era" as part of an internship program at the National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol) of South Jakarta Administrative City. This activity took place on Thursday, January 22, 2026, with the assistance of the National Integration Forum (FPK), as a form of student academic contribution in supporting public education about the challenges of parenting in the technological era.

The presentation highlighted the dynamics of the digital revolution in children's education, while strengthening the implementation of practice-based learning for students. It was eventually uploaded to the Kesbangpol YouTube channel for public access.

One of the students, Novia Kusuma Wardhani, said that this activity was a valuable experience in applying the knowledge gained in college. "Through this literacy presentation, we learned how to package academic knowledge into material that is easily understood by the public, while also recognizing the importance of digital literacy as a cross-generational issue," she said.

Meanwhile, Khansa Khairunnisa added that the internship program provides a space for students to make a real contribution. "This activity is a form of practice-based learning that strengthens our analytical, communication, and social awareness skills, particularly in education and parenting issues in the digital age," she said.

The two students demonstrated a deep understanding of the book's content, including the benefits of digital technology, the differences between digital natives and digital immigrants, and the characteristics of a generation growing up amidst technological advancements. They systematically outlined potential threats to the digital space, as well as the need for ongoing literacy and parental guidance.

The presentation also covered strategies for introducing children to the digital world according to their age, from 1-3 years old to 12-18 years old, with an emphasis on the role of parents in developing adaptive parenting patterns. This activity reflected the students' productivity during the internship, as they not only developed applicable materials but also delivered them in a communicative and educational manner.

As a token of appreciation, the students received a certificate of appreciation presented directly by the Head of the South Jakarta City Administration's National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol) at the end of their internship. The certificate acknowledged their dedication and collaboration in supporting the agency's activities, including knowledge dissemination through digital platforms. This initiative demonstrates the active involvement of UPNVJ International Relations students in contemporary social issues, such as digital literacy, which aligns with the program's curriculum, which emphasizes global analysis and local application.
