Reaccreditation Preparation: UPN Veteran Jakarta Nursing Undergoes Intensive LAM-PTKes Mentoring

UPNVJ Public Relations - The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) of the National Veteran Development University (UPNVJ) has begun the nurturing phase of qualitative accreditation for the Undergraduate Nursing Study Program and the Professional Nursing Study Program, in preparation for instrument-based reaccreditation by the Independent Accreditation Institute for Health Universities (LAM-PTKes). This inaugural activity took place in the UPNVJ FIKES Meeting Room, attended by the Acting Dean, vice deans, department heads, study program managers, and a team of lecturers and educational staff responsible for the accreditation criteria.

This step aims to align perceptions in the preparation of Self-Evaluation Reports (LED), strengthen the fulfillment of the eight accreditation criteria, and ensure the quality assurance system runs consistently to achieve superior status.

Mentoring is carried out by LAM-PTKes assessors for a maximum of eight weeks through four virtual meetings, focusing on understanding qualitative instruments, strategies for writing data-based analytical LEDs, and integrating the Determination, Implementation, Evaluation, Control, and Improvement (PPEPP) cycle into the tridharma of higher education and study program governance. The nurturing series is divided into stages: discussion of criteria 1-2, followed by 3-5, then 6-8, with the final stage for refining the independent LED before being uploaded to the Accreditation Management Information System (SIMAk).

Intensive discussions emphasize LEDs that are not only descriptive, but also analytical and reflective, with an integration of quantitative data and qualitative narratives.

The presentation focuses on key elements, is concise, and highlights the tangible impact of education, research, and community service. This initiative affirms the view of accreditation as a tool for continuous quality improvement, not simply an administrative evaluation, to ensure graduate quality, student and patient safety, and public trust in the nursing profession.
