Building a Culture of Accountability, UPNVJ's Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Implements a Derivative Performance Agreement in 2026

UPNVJ Public Relations - The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) strengthened institutional governance and accountability through the signing of the 2026 Derivative Performance Agreement (PK) held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the UPNVJ FISIP Auditorium. This activity was attended by all levels of faculty leadership and management as a strategic step to align unit performance targets with the direction of university policy.

The signing of the derivative PK was attended by the Dean of FISIP, Vice Deans, Heads and Secretaries of Departments, Study Program Coordinators, and Laboratory Heads. The event served as part of strengthening a structured and integrated indicator-based performance management system, while ensuring that each leadership element has clear responsibilities in achieving the faculty's strategic goals.

The implementation of derivative PKs concretely translates the university's Performance Agreement into the operational plans of faculties and their subordinate units. Through this mechanism, key performance indicators are specifically outlined according to each unit's function, allowing for regular monitoring and evaluation of program implementation.

In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at UPNVJ emphasized that the Performance Agreement is not merely an administrative document, but rather an instrument for controlling and strengthening a professional work culture. "The Performance Agreement serves as a shared guideline to ensure all programs are running on target. This commitment fosters synergy, consistency, and accountability across all levels of faculty management," he said.

He added that strengthening governance is a key prerequisite for improving academic quality, research productivity, and community service contributions. With a measurable performance system, faculties can more systematically identify achievements, challenges, and improvement strategies.

This FISIP move aligns with the policy of UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm., who emphasized the importance of a performance culture based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in building a superior and globally competitive university. According to him, consistency between planning, implementation, and evaluation is the foundation of transparent and results-oriented governance.

By signing the 2026 Performance Agreement, FISIP UPNVJ affirms its readiness to implement accountable and sustainable performance-based management. The synergy of all leadership elements is expected to improve the institution's performance, strengthen its academic reputation, and make a tangible contribution to the development of social and political sciences at the national and international levels.
