Public Relations of UPNVJ – The National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) held a Technical Guidance (Bimtek) activity on the Implementation of the Facilities and Infrastructure Management Information System (SIMA) Application on Friday, February 27, 2026. This activity took place at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium as part of efforts to develop a digital-based facilities and infrastructure service information system on campus.
The event was opened by the Head of the Planning, Finance, and General Affairs Bureau (PKU), Dr. Ahmad Ahsin Thohari, SH, MH, who emphasized the importance of orderly administration in asset management. In his remarks, he stated that the implementation of SIMA is the first step in driving campus transformation for the better.
"The goal of our activities is to ensure orderly administration in asset management within UPNVJ, so that our campus continues to transform for the better. SIMA is the first step, followed by discipline and consistency," he said.
The technical guidance workshop featured Bambang Saras and a team from the Faculty of Computer Science as keynote speakers. In his presentation, Bambang explained that the SIMA application would simplify asset data collection and management through a barcode-based system.
"With this application, the DBR (Room Goods List) doesn't need to be changed like before because we will use a barcode and just scan it to find out the origin of the goods," he explained.
Bambang further stated that today's technical guidance focused on the preparatory phase of SIMA implementation. Several steps were undertaken, including data collection on areas and rooms by identifying the number and name of each room containing assets, asset data collection and input, including inventory of movable assets and supporting/infrastructure, and documentation in the form of asset photographs.
Through this activity, it is hoped that all work units within the UPNVJ environment can understand the mechanism for optimally using SIMA, so that the management of facilities and infrastructure becomes more effective, transparent, and digitally integrated.
