UPNVJ Public Relations - Three undergraduate students in the Accounting Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (FEB UPNVJ), achieved national recognition by winning second place in the 2026 Accounting Intelligence Competition (ACTION), held on February 11–13, 2026, at the University of North Sumatra, Medan. This competition is part of the Accounting Intelligence Fair (AIF) 3.0 series, attended by students from various universities in Indonesia. This achievement confirms the competitiveness of UPNVJ students in the field of accounting at the national level.

The Ponlab Oddsmaker team consists of Syaiful (team leader), Siti Masruro Islamiyah, and Muhammad Tegar Belgama. They emerged victorious amidst intense competition through consistent academic performance from the preliminary round to the final. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of UPNVJ in strengthening its academic reputation at the national level.

The ACTION competition is recognized as one of the most prestigious events in the accounting field. Participants are tested on various aspects, including financial accounting, management and cost accounting, taxation, and strategic case analysis. In addition to mastery of the material, analytical skills, accuracy, time management, and mental resilience are key factors for success.

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UPNVJ, Dr. Jubaedah, expressed her appreciation for this achievement. She considered it concrete evidence of the quality of academic development within the faculty. "This success demonstrates that FEB UPNVJ students possess the competence and competitiveness to compete with other universities at the national level," she said.

The team's success was due to intensive preparation, starting with the preliminary round on January 7, 2026. The team underwent a tiered selection process, with material distributed according to each member's competencies. Regular evaluations were conducted to identify weaknesses and strengthen problem-solving strategies.

Syaiful, the team leader, stated that this achievement was a valuable experience and a testament to UPNVJ's Accounting students. "Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God), we are grateful for this result. The long preparation process, intensive discussions, and ongoing evaluation have finally paid off. This is our first experience participating in a national-level competition and representing the university outside the city. We want to prove that UPNVJ FEB students are capable of competing academically at the national level," he said on Friday (February 27, 2026).

He added that the team's success was supported by the distribution of materials based on each member's strengths, time management during the competition, and open communication that maintained team solidarity.

Winning second place in ACTION 2026 underscores UPNVJ's commitment as a National Defense Campus to producing superior, adaptive, and competent graduates. This achievement also strengthens the institution's contribution to supporting Key Performance Indicators in student affairs, particularly improving student achievement at the national level.
