UPNVJ Public Relations — The Academic Support Unit for Career Development and Entrepreneurship (UPA PKK) of the “Veteran” National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) held a socialization of the location and topic of the 2026 Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK Ormawa) at the UPNVJ Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, Friday (2/13/2026). This activity was attended by UPNVJ students to strengthen the readiness of student organizations (ormawa) in preparing proposals for village/sub-district empowerment programs. Through this socialization, UPNVJ emphasized the importance of choosing the right target location, topic suitability, and compliance with the proposal mechanism from the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) of the Ministry of Education and Technology.
The Head of UPA PKK UPNVJ Catur Nugrahaeni PD, M.Kom explained that the selection of target villages/sub-districts is a key factor because it will affect the effectiveness of mentoring, program implementation, and the sustainability of the impact. Referring to the program guidelines, villages/sub-districts where PPK Ormawa are located are prioritized to be easily accessible with a maximum distance of 100 kilometers from the campus, thus enabling a round-trip implementation pattern. For potential villages/sub-districts with difficult access and distances of more than 100 kilometers, the implementation team can choose these locations with the provision of staying at the location for a certain period of time according to program needs and university policies.
In addition to distance criteria, the 2026 Student Organization PPK guidelines also include categories of locations to choose from, ranging from villages in underdeveloped areas, villages/sub-districts not yet under campus guidance, to villages/sub-districts with minimal external empowerment intervention. These provisions are intended to ensure the program truly addresses the needs of the target community and promotes measurable and sustainable results.
In his presentation on "Locations and Topics of Student Organization PPK," Catur detailed that the 2026 Student Organization PPK is structured into eight main, integrative topics encompassing education, economics, health, and the environment. Each student organization is expected to select a topic based on the potential and challenges of its target location, while also meeting the minimum success indicators set out in the guidelines.
The eight main topics of the 2026 Student Organization Development Program (PPK) include: Conservation and Disaster Resilient Villages, Entrepreneurial Villages/Sub-districts, Smart Farming, Healthy Villages/Sub-districts, Intelligent Villages/Sub-districts, Maritime Villages/Sub-districts, Forest Villages, and Tourism Villages/Sub-districts. This series of topics serves as a framework for student organizations to design programs that are relevant, collaborative, and based on local needs.
In a follow-up session, Catur also explained the proposal's structure, the differences between the pilot scheme (first year) and development scheme (second year) subproposals, and the nature of the follow-up program, which requires higher quality because it is intended to follow up on the results of coaching and empowerment in the same village. The development scheme, as per the guidelines, emphasizes data updates, a two-year development plan, and strengthening local partnerships and institutions.
This outreach also reviewed the technical aspects of the proposal process: applicant criteria, target outcomes, sub-proposal assessment, and program mechanisms. Official regulations stipulate that university proposals and student organization sub-proposals are submitted online through the Student Organization Development Committee (PPK Ormawa) website, using an operator account at each university. Furthermore, this program is intended for active undergraduate and diploma students registered with PDDikti.
To help student organizations prepare their work schedules, the materials also cover the main timeline for the 2026 Student Organization PPK. In the current provisions, pre-subproposal registration is conducted from February 9 to March 17, 2026, at 5:00 PM WIB, while uploading the minutes of the university's internal selection along with the proposal documents is due no later than March 31, 2026, at 5:00 PM WIB.
UPNVJ emphasized that strengthening the capacity of student organizations through the PPK Ormawa is in line with the university's policy direction in promoting impactful student programs. UPNVJ Rector Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm., previously emphasized that the 2026 student organization program "must have a real impact, synergy, and collaboration... by prioritizing the values of national defense." Through this outreach, UPNVJ hopes that student organizations will be increasingly prepared to develop programs that are measurable, accountable, and provide direct benefits to the target community.
