To Improve Campus Facility Security, UPNVJ's Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) Trains New Elevator Operators

UPNVJ Public Relations – The Faculty of Health Sciences at the Veteran National Development University (FIKES UPNVJ) conducted a trial run and training for elevator operators as part of the operation of a new facility within the faculty on Monday (March 9, 2026). This activity was carried out to ensure the readiness of human resources to operate the facility safely and support the mobility of the academic community on campus.

The training was attended by various elements of the UPNVJ FIKES support staff, including office boys (OB), security officers (PAM), and educational staff. The training was also facilitated by the Vice Dean II and Vice Dean III of the UPNVJ Faculty of Health Sciences to ensure the training process adhered to established operational standards.

During the training, participants received explanations on elevator operating procedures, safety standards, and steps to take in the event of technical issues. In addition to the presentation, the training included simulations and hands-on elevator testing to ensure the entire system was functioning optimally.

Technical training is provided directly by a team of technicians from Louser, the elevator's technical service provider. The technicians provide demonstrations of elevator use and detailed operational instructions to help participants understand the device's working mechanisms and the safety procedures required for its operation.

Through this activity, the UPNVJ Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) hopes that the new elevator facility can be optimally utilized to support the mobility of the academic community, particularly students, lecturers, and educational staff. The facility is also expected to improve the comfort, safety, and accessibility of educational services within the faculty.

In line with UPNVJ's commitment to improving the quality of educational facilities and infrastructure, the operation of this lift facility is part of an effort to provide a campus environment that is increasingly friendly, safe, and inclusive for the entire academic community.
