UPNVJ Public Relations - The National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ), through the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), is integrating global certification into its learning ecosystem to produce industry-ready digital economy talent. In collaboration with Multimatics, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of UPNVJ held the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Excel Certification at the Sibuni Laboratory on Saturday (2/28/2026).
This step addresses the challenges of digital transformation in the business and finance sectors, which require graduates to not only understand theory but also master data analysis tools based on global industry standards. This certification program is designed as part of an outcomes-driven curriculum strategy, with data analysis competency as the primary foundation for graduates in accounting, management, and Islamic economics.
During the exam, students take the exam using the official Microsoft system, which meets international standards. The material tested includes data processing, advanced formula usage, pivot table-based analysis, and data visualization for modern business decision-making. This system ensures objective and verifiable competency assessment.
The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UPNVJ, Dr. Jubaedah, emphasized that the integration of professional certification is part of the transformation of measurable competency-based learning. "We want to ensure that FEB graduates not only understand the concepts but are also able to implement them using industry-standard tools. Global certification serves as a bridge between the classroom and the workplace," she said.
The collaboration with Multimatics strengthens the campus-industry partnership model, which focuses on improving graduate quality. The MOS Excel certificate earned by students serves as internationally recognized proof of competency and enhances competitiveness in job recruitment and professional internship selection processes in the digital business and finance sectors.
This initiative also supports the achievement of higher education Key Performance Indicators (KPI), particularly in terms of graduate job readiness and student competency recognition. Integrating certification into the academic process is a concrete strategy to accelerate the link and match between higher education and industry needs.
