UPNVJ Public Relations — The Faculty of Health Sciences of the Veteran National Development University (UPNVJ) Jakarta continues to strengthen the development of the Integrity Zone (ZI) as an effort to realize a Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) through bureaucratic reform and improving the quality of public services. This commitment is emphasized through the implementation of an ongoing program involving the entire academic community, which will run until 2026 on the UPNVJ Limo campus in Depok.
The Integrity Zone is a designation awarded to work units with a strong commitment to creating clean, transparent, and accountable governance. At the UPNVJ Faculty of Health Sciences, this program was officially launched on February 29, 2024, and continues to be strengthened through various implementation stages, self-evaluation through the Evaluation Worksheet (LKE), and ongoing outreach activities.
The development of the Integrity Zone at FIKES UPNVJ involves all elements of the academic community. The Dean and Vice Deans serve as the primary drivers and role models in building a work culture of integrity. The Integrity Zone Working Team is tasked with managing six strategic areas of change, while lecturers and educational staff serve as service providers who uphold integrity. Meanwhile, students, cleaning staff, and security officers also serve as service users and external supervisors to ensure service quality is maintained.
The primary goal of establishing the Integrity Zone is to transform the work culture within the faculty. This effort is realized through strengthening transparent and accountable university governance, preventing corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN), and increasing public trust through fast, accurate, and professional service.
The implementation of the Integrity Zone at FIKES UPNVJ is carried out through six areas of change. First, change management focuses on establishing a mindset and work culture of integrity. Second, governance is structuring through the digitization of e-office-based service systems and standardization of operational procedures. Third, the structuring of a human resource management system that ensures transparency in internal transfers and employee competency development.
Furthermore, accountability is strengthened by ensuring each program has clear and measurable performance indicators. Oversight is strengthened through the operation of the Whistleblowing System (WBS) and the control of bribery. Meanwhile, the quality of public services is improved through service innovations oriented toward user satisfaction.
This Integrity Zone strengthening activity was carried out at the Merce Building, 8th Floor, UPNVJ Limo as part of the institution's commitment to building a modern and service-oriented bureaucratic system.
The Rector of UPN “Veteran” Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm, emphasized that the establishment of the Integrity Zone is a strategic step in encouraging the transformation of higher education governance to be superior and competitive. According to him, a commitment to integrity and public service is the main foundation in increasing public trust in higher education institutions. "The Integrity Zone is not just an administrative program, but a work culture that must be consistently maintained to provide quality education services with integrity," he said.
With this continuous strengthening, FIKES UPNVJ is optimistic that it can achieve the Corruption-Free Area (WBK) title and make a real contribution to realizing professional, transparent, and public service-oriented higher education governance.
