UPNVJ Public Relations – The Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Information Systems of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), Dr. Ria Maria Theresa, Sp.KJ., MH, opened the badminton match to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, Thursday (6/8/2026). The match, which took place at the Putra Perdana Badminton Hall, was one of a series of Independence Day celebrations at UPNVJ.
In her remarks, Ria said the badminton match was not only an activity to enliven the commemoration of independence, but also provided direct benefits to the health and fitness of the participants.
"This activity is very interesting because besides celebrating Indonesian Independence Day, badminton is also healthy and makes participants fitter," said Ria.
He believes that sports activities can be a way to maintain a balance between work productivity and physical health. These competitions also provide a space for employees from various work units to meet, interact, and strengthen camaraderie outside of their daily work routines.
Ria also encouraged all participants to participate in the competition with high sportsmanship. A competitive spirit must be accompanied by mutual respect to ensure the event runs smoothly, healthily, and enjoyably.
