Public Relations of UPNVJ – The Undergraduate Political Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) achieved the Excellent Accreditation predicate with a score of 266. The achievement, which was announced on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, is a recognition of the quality of education, research, community service, governance, and the quality of graduates of the UPNVJ Political Science Study Program. This predicate also strengthens the study program's commitment to producing graduates who are competent, have integrity, and are able to contribute to strengthening Indonesian democracy.
The Unggul accreditation is awarded after a comprehensive evaluation of various aspects of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The assessment covers study program governance, faculty quality and competence, curriculum-based learning outcomes, research productivity and community service, student achievement, alumni performance, and collaboration with various national and international institutions.
Dean of FISIP UPNVJ, Dr. S. Bekti Istiyanto, M.Si. , said that this achievement was the result of collective work of all elements involved in the development of the Political Science Study Program.
"The Political Science Study Program's Excellence Accreditation is the result of the hard work and collaboration of the entire academic community, including lecturers, students, alumni, education staff, and partners who have provided the best support and contributions to the development of the study program," said Bekti, Wednesday (5/8/2026).
According to him, the Excellence predicate is not only an achievement and pride for FISIP UPNVJ, but also a mandate to maintain consistent quality and improve the quality of education in a sustainable manner.
"This achievement is a source of shared pride, but it also brings with it a responsibility and challenge to continue maintaining and improving the quality of education, research, and community service. We hope the Political Science Study Program will continue to grow and make a real contribution to the development of science and the strengthening of democracy in Indonesia," he said.
This success also reflects a strong culture of quality built through the involvement of university leadership, faculty, study program managers, lecturers, students, alumni, educational staff, graduate users, and partners. Collaboration across these elements is crucial in ensuring the educational process adapts to developments in politics, digital technology, governance, and societal needs.
Bekti hopes that the achievements of the Political Science Study Program can be a trigger for other study programs within the FISIP UPNVJ environment to improve performance and strengthen the quality assurance system on an ongoing basis.
"We hope this success will inspire all study programs at FISIP UPNVJ to continue strengthening their quality and improving the performance of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. With strong collaboration and commitment, we are optimistic that all study programs at FISIP will advance, excel, and become globally recognized," he said.
The achievement of Superior Accreditation further strengthens UPNVJ's Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) position as a faculty committed to providing quality education relevant to social, political, governmental, and public policy challenges. This achievement also increases the trust of prospective students, parents, graduate users, and partners in the academic quality of UPNVJ's Political Science Study Program.
Going forward, the Political Science Study Program will strengthen learning innovation, increase research productivity and scientific publications, expand strategic collaboration networks, and encourage student involvement in academic and community activities. This development is aimed at producing graduates who can critically understand political dynamics and offer solutions for the public interest.
