UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) strengthened its strategic partnership with PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) and vehicle handover at the UPNVJ Rectorate Lobby, Pondok Labu, South Jakarta, Friday (11/9/2026). This continued collaboration provides a number of benefits for the university, including one medium bus, one ambulance, a Shar'e Lab worth Rp150 million, and activity sponsorship support of Rp100 million. The activity took place at 08.00–09.30 WIB and was attended by UPNVJ leadership and Bank Muamalat Indonesia leadership.
UPNVJ Rector Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA., Comm., expressed his appreciation for Bank Muamalat's continued trust and commitment to UPNVJ. He stated that the partnership goes beyond signing documents and aims to deliver tangible benefits for improving the university's services and performance.
Venus emphasized that the implementation of the collaboration must remain grounded in good governance, prioritizing transparency, accountability, professionalism, and integrity. All forms of collaboration must also have clear benefits for the university while maintaining a sustainable institutional relationship between the two institutions.
"We hope that what we are doing today will not only result in a cooperation document, but will also produce real benefits, sustainable collaboration, and greater contributions to the progress of UPN 'Veteran' Jakarta," was one of the points emphasized by the Chancellor at the event.
This collaboration is a continuation of the collaboration between UPNVJ and Bank Muamalat in 2025. According to activity documents, support in the previous period included two Innova Zenix units, scholarships, and sponsorship funds. The institutional relationship between the two institutions has also been directed towards the development of education, research, and community service. This aligns with the previous collaboration between UPNVJ and Bank Muamalat, outlined in a memorandum of understanding in October 2025.
The Friday morning event was led by Bank Muamalat Indonesia President Director Imam Teguh Saptono. Also in attendance were Agung Bayu Sulistiyono, Regional Head of West Jakarta; Yuhyi Hayati, Branch Manager of Bank Muamalat's Cinere Branch; Dedy Sukmana, Branch Manager of the Bintaro Cluster; and members of Bank Muamalat's Regional Funding and Relationship Managers.
From UPNVJ, the event was attended by institutional and bureau leaders, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Head of the Internal Audit Unit, the Vice Dean for Cooperation at the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Head of the Sharia Economics Study Program, and members of the university's administration and finance management. The presence of these diverse stakeholders emphasized that the collaboration extends beyond facilities and also has the potential to expand institutional and academic synergies.
The medium bus and ambulance received by UPNVJ are expected to support university mobility and services. Meanwhile, the support from Lab Shar'e, worth Rp150 million, and the Rp100 million in sponsorship for activities, are part of efforts to provide broader benefits for the development of UPNVJ's academic and institutional activities.
The partnership with Bank Muamalat also continues a relationship established in 2025. Previously, UPNVJ and Bank Muamalat explored scholarship support and strengthening the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. A meeting between Prof. Dr. Anter Venus and Imam Teguh Saptono in July 2025 discussed, among other things, educational scholarship opportunities and the development of programs that benefit students.
For UPNVJ, the trust placed in partners is a crucial part of strengthening institutional transformation. Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA., Comm. emphasized that strategic partnerships must be directed at creating added value, improving governance quality, and providing university services to the academic community and the community. With these principles, the collaboration between UPNVJ and Bank Muamalat is expected to develop into a long-term collaboration that is measurable, accountable, and has a real impact.
