HumasUPNVJ - In order to increase student knowledge about human rights in the business world, UPN Veteran Jakarta together with the Director General of Human Rights and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) conducted a National Seminar on "Business and Human Rights" at the Bhineka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, on Monday (15/07) /19.

The seminar was attended by sources from the Head of Sub-Directorate for the Dissemination and Strengthening of Human Rights and representatives from the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) with 50 UPNVJ Law Faculty students participating. In this seminar the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Anter Venus said " Today is a very useful day because we have guests from the Director General of Human Rights and representatives of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) , from here we can increase our awareness of the importance of human rights, I hope we can contribute greatly and provide benefits to the general public, "he said.

Apart from that, Olivia Dwi Ayu Qurbaningrum Head of Sub Directorate of Dissemination and Reinforcement an HAM said " The purpose of this activity is actually we want to introduce what human rights are, and provide knowledge of the relationship between human rights and business. It is hoped that as the successors of the nation, students can help voice these human rights to the wider community. UPNVJ is the 6th campus we have visited. I thank all parties involved and those who support the implementation of this activity, hopefully this activity can add to our knowledge about human rights, especially in the business area, "he said.

In delivering his material, the Director General of Human Rights provided information about the Role and Responsibilities of the State for Human Rights in the Context of Business and Human Rights. The activity took place in two directions with direct question and answer with the students.
