UPN Veteran Jakarta FK Lecturer Wins 2019 Young Scientist Award from FAOBMB

HumasUPNVJ - UPN Veterans Jakarta Faculty of Medicine lecturer, Yudhi Nugraha, M.Biomed, PhD, won an award from the Federation of Asian and Oceanian Biochemist and Molecular Biologist (FAOBMB) which is the Association of Asian and Oceanian Biochemists and Biomolecular Experts for the 2019 Young Scientist category .

Yudhi presented his research related to the discovery of the mechanism of diabetes drugs with X-ray Crystallography of the PPAR pathway with the title "Structural Analysis of Ligands Entrance Mechanism of Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptors (PPARs). Yudhi was among 36 people selected from 110 nominations throughout the Asia and Oceania region, these 36 people representing 26 countries each including: Australia, the United States, Germany, Japan, Korea, Turkey, Brazil, India, South Africa, Indonesia and so on.

On this occasion Yudhi was also the Indonesian delegate to the International Union of Biochemist and Molecular Biologists (IUBMB) meeting which is an association of biochemists and biomolecular experts from around the world representing the Indonesian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ISBMB). This activity was carried out for nine days at Taylor's University (15-18 August 2019) and Berjaya Times Square Hotel (19-23 August 2019) Malaysia.

Yudhi received a Master's degree in Biomedicine from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (FKUI) and was listed as a permanent lecturer at the Department of Molecular Biology, Faculty of Medicine UPN Veterans Jakarta since 2015 before finally continuing his PhD program at NAIST Japan in October 2015 and graduating in December 2018 with GPA 4.0. Currently, apart from teaching and researching, in May 2019 Yudhi was entrusted with managing the UPN Veterans Jakarta International Affairs Office.

Yudhi is one of the teaching staff who adds to the series of achievements that have been given by UPN Veteran Jakarta lecturers. This is certainly proof that UPN Veteran Jakarta will continue to make improvements, especially in terms of competent teaching staff.
