HumasUPNVJ - World Class Scholars Symposium (SCKD) 2019, is a flagship program of the Directorate General of Science and Technology Resources and Higher Education, Kemenristekdikti, in collaboration with the Indonesian Academy of Young Scientists (ALMI), the Association of International Indonesian Scientists (I-4), and the Directorate General of Diplomacy and Public Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which invites scientists from the Indonesian diaspora from universities, as well as the best research and scientific institutions in various parts of the world. These diaspora scientists meet directly with the public, scientists, academics, to university officials, to collaborate, create quality and highly competitive works, which have a sustainable impact, and are recognized by the international scientific world.
UPNVJ is one of the state universities selected this year to take part in holding this Symposium at the State Defense Campus, South Jakarta. The two international scientists present were Professor Juliana Sutanto from Lancaster University, UK, and Dr. Bramasta Nugraha from the University of Zurich. Led by Moderator from UPNVJ, Dr. Sri Lestari Wahyuningroem as Head of the Office of International Affairs, UPNVJ. The speakers will present material in accordance with the big theme of this year's III World Class Scholars Symposium, namely: "Challenges and Opportunities of Higher Education in the Digital Age". Which was held at the UPN "Veteran" Jakarta Auditorium Building, Tuesday (20/8/19)
This activity began with remarks given by the Chancellor of UPNVJ, Dr. Erna Hernawati, in her speech she hoped that by holding this activity the resource persons could share their knowledge and experiences teaching and researching at international universities in other countries. In addition, this activity is an opportunity for UPNVJ Faculties from related disciplines to discuss initiatives and proposals for the development of education and research from the speakers invited today.
Participants who took part in this symposium totaled 107 participants consisting of the Dean, lecturer representatives and student representatives from each faculty.
After the general seminar held at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika auditorium, it will be followed by a Parallel Workshop on "Research and Publication Development" for economics and management disciplines at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and at the Faculty of Medicine (FK), each of which is moderated by Dr. Jubaedah, SE, MM (FEB); and Dr. Andri Pramesyanti Pramono ( FK). The Parallel Workshop is intended as a medium that specifically explores plans and ideas for research and publication in related disciplines in FEB and FK. The main objective is for international scientists to provide input for research ideas and publications that are being or will be carried out by each faculty.
