In supporting the growth and development of entrepreneurship, especially among students, they always try in various ways, one of which is to increase students for entrepreneurial activities with the aim of increasing the economy in Indonesia.
The implementation of the 2019 Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship Expo (KMI) with the theme "Collaboration X" which was held at the Batam State Polytechnic is a concrete form of the government's efforts to support increasing entrepreneurship among students.
The Director of the Batam State Polytechnic, Priyono Eko Sanyoto, while giving his welcoming speech on the 2019 KMI agenda on Friday night (11/22/2019). He said "This event is an opportunity for the Student Activity Unit (UKM) to become a partner for the city of Batam in preparing itself to become a tax-free area. I hope to grow various startups with this collaboration. Because, as many as 1,200 participants from all campuses throughout Indonesia took part in the agenda with the theme Collaboration X," he said.
This is in line with the submission of the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, the Directorate General of Belmawa Kemenristekdikti, Ismunandar. According to him, this national scale agenda is one of the most important things in opening new jobs for students in the future.
He hopes creative ideas can be reinvented and student invasions can go well with the aim of building the best economy for Indonesia.
From hundreds of PTNs throughout Indonesia, 105 PTNs were selected, including UPN Veterans Jakarta, which could take part in this gathering of entrepreneurship students from across Indonesia. In this event, UPN Veteran Jakarta students displayed 5 types of products resulting from student creative ideas.
UPN Veteran Jakarta students are very enthusiastic about showing their best for the products they create. UPN Veteran Jakarta students who attended the 2019 KMI with the hope that later their businesses can create job opportunities and for types of food products they can upgrade traditional food to modernity to increase people's consumption of traditional food again.
