HumasUPNVJ - UPN Veteran Jakarta through the Faculty of Economics and Business held a blood donor intended for all UPNVJ academics. This activity is part of a series of events for the 27th anniversary of the Faculty of Economics and Business. Held at the Wahidin Sudirohusodo Building, on Thursday, 27 February 2020, this activity was in collaboration with the Jakarta Young On Top (YOT) Community and the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) South Tangerang City.
As Head of Management Department and chairman of the 27th anniversary of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Dr. Jubaedah, said that this blood donation activity was a real action of Defending the Country as a campus identity. It is hoped that this activity can foster a sense of continuing to share with the younger generation.
" It is hoped that the enthusiasm from students for this activity will continue to increase awareness of the importance of sharing and maintaining health. This event is also a form of implementing state defense as the identity of our campus, "he said.
Achmad Akbar Rivai, a student of the Faculty of Economics and Business class of 2016 who is also a representative for the Jakarta Young On Top (YOT) community, conveyed his response. On the occasion when being interviewed, Akbar said that there was considerable enthusiasm seen from the participants who attended, more than the participants who had registered online.
" Alhamdulillah, the event went smoothly and yesterday there were 105 registrants, but today there were more than the number of registrants, " he said.
Akbar also said " I hope that activities like this will continue to be supported and continue to be carried out regularly every year. Remembering that being a donor also gets health benefits and relieves friends who are short of blood, "he added.
In the implementation phase, the prospective donor fills in his identity and data collection is carried out by the team, followed by an initial examination to check blood pressure and check hemoglobin. After all the processes have been passed and met the requirements, the prospective donor has the right to donate blood.
