HumasUPNVJ - The Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) entered into an agreement to work together in the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education with Esa Unggul University which was ratified through the signing of a memorandum of understanding which was carried out virtually, Thursday (12/8/2021).
"Cooperation between universities needs to be carried out considering that there is much to be achieved for the benefit of students. As universities, we have a vision and mission that are in line," said UPNVJ Chancellor Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak, CPMA, CA, CGOP in her speech at the signing of the memorandum of understanding.
Erna said higher education institutions need to collaborate to carry out their commitment to produce graduates who are superior and able to compete after graduating from college.
To be able to produce graduates who are superior and able to compete, universities cannot only use the resources owned by each campus. Therefore, there needs to be cooperation and collaboration with other tertiary institutions in order to achieve this vision.
"There needs to be assistance from fellow tertiary institutions to be able to achieve this vision. We at UPNVJ would like to thank you for the cooperation that has been established," he said.
Erna said the Free Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology has become a performance indicator for tertiary institutions.
"We are trying to achieve what we want through MBKM. Maybe this collaboration can really help each tertiary institution in implementing MBKM," he said.
Meanwhile, the Chancellor of Esa Unggul University, Ir. Arief Kusuma Among Praja, MBA, IPU said that the collaboration could be in the form of lecturer and student exchanges.
In the text of the memorandum of understanding, it is stated that the purpose of the agreement is to optimize the resources of the parties in the context of implementing the Three Pillars of Higher Education in the academic field.
The scope of the memorandum of understanding includes education and teaching; research, development, and community service; utilization of science and technology; and other areas of cooperation agreed by the parties. (*)
